US Embassy Dhaka Opens Special Saturday F-1 Visa Appointment Slots for Fall Intake

The United States Embassy in Dhaka has announced the opening of dedicated weekend appointment blocks specifically reserved for student visa (F-1 and J-1) applicants holding valid I-20 documentation for the upcoming Fall semester.
Overcoming Visa Appointment Bottlenecks
With Bangladesh ranking among the fastest-growing countries of origin for international students in the United States, consular officials stressed the importance of scheduling interviews well ahead of university reporting dates. The Open Doors report indicates that over 17,000 Bangladeshi students are currently pursuing academic degrees across US universities.
FACD-CAB president applauded the consular section’s proactive initiative, emphasizing that early DS-160 submission and thorough preparation for oral interviews are paramount for visa approval.
